In the kiosk transformed into a museum after it has been restored within the according to international museology standards together within the gallery built in conformity with the same standards, over four hundred calligraphy and over three hundred 19th and 20th century paintings are being exhibited. In the three (red, blue, dining) Sabancı family rooms in the ground floor of Atlı Köşk, there is a permanent exhibition consisting of works of art and furniture of 18th and 19th century. The decorative works of art in Sabancı Collection consist of over hundred and fifty pieces. Hacı Ömer Sabancı started to collect the collection including small statues, enameled metals, porcelains, antique objects and furniture in 1940, and since 1970 has been developed by the care and protection of Sakıp Sabancı. Among the other pieces of the collection, there are China porcelains of 18th and 19th century and some vases, objects ornamented with spectacles taken from mythology and nature, Famille Noire, Famille Verte, polychrome vases and decorative plates. On the first floor which maybe defined as the heart pf Atlı Köşk, The Ottoman Calligraphy Works of Art of Sabancı Collection are being exhibited. The collection consisting of over four hundred calligraphies and which is going be displayed alternatively offers a comprehensive point of view about over 500 years old Ottoman calligraphy art. This important section of SSM, beside the religious objects such as Koran and prayer books; also contain civil works of art varying from plates, decrees, declarations, orders bearing Sultan’s signature, administrative documents, official records, unofficial poetry books and rigmaroles, to the explanatory articles. Painting of Sabancı Collection consist of over three hundred twenty works which had been painted between the second half of the 19th century until today.
